Unfortunately, there have been many examples of persons, who legally obtained a visa to Denmark (or Norway, Iceland), exploited the visit to seek asylum, or in other ways violated conditions for the visa after entering the country in question. Danish representations abroad often receive the inquiries about issuing of visa to business-connections too late. We therefore urge applicant and reference to contact the VFS well in advance, in order to begin the application procedure in due time.
1- Invitation Letter from the reference in Denmark: Before applying at the VFS preferably upon appointment, the invitation form should be filled out in English by the reference and forwarded to the applicant with a copy to VFS. The copy should be sent by email or fax.When the invitation form from the reference is sent, do the following: 2- Required Documents: Please be sure, that all required documents are handed in to the VFS together with the application form. 3- Visa Application Form: Fill out one visa application form (downloadable from the Danish Immigration Service, otherwise handed out free of charge at the VFS), Supplementary Information Form, the Invitation form and Supplementary Questions for Business Applicants. All questions must be answered in detail without exception and in English. Filling out the application form is the sole responsibility of the applicant. An incompletely filled out application form may lead to rejection of granting a visa Please note: The applicant must show up in person. 4- Handling Fee: A non-refundable handling fee and a service fee must be paid upon submission of the application. See details through the VFS website Notification of the result of the application:The applicant will receive notice from the VFS when the decision on the application is ready. In case of approval, a confirmed return ticket is requested before issuance of the visa.
